The sherpa staircase up Ballstadheia in Vestvågøy municipality in Lofoten officially opened in July 2025. The staircase has 384 steps and is about 150 meters long.
Round trip to the top of the staircase is about 1.2 km and 200 meters of elevation gain.
Nonstinden (459 m) round trip is about 4 km and 450 meters of elevation gain.
