Båtsfjord

The sherpa staircase in Båtsfjord was built in 2023 and has 152 steps. The staircase is located in Eikebergvika on the eastern side of Båtsfjorden, where you can park at the innermost point by the Perelva river.

The staircase is part of the trail leading to the Perletur day-trip cabin, located by Eikebergvika. The staircase itself is set on the steepest section of the route. The trail continues along the western side of the Eikeberg lakes up to the cabin, which has a view of the sea, overlooking Båtsfjorden.
