Jøatrappa

Jøatrappa is located on the west side of the island of Jøa in Namsos municipality. It was the local sports club Jøa IL that took the initiative to have the staircase up Ramnfjellet built. The staircase is built of wood, has 932 steps, and leads up to the viewpoint "Olav Duun-platået" (the Olav Duun Plateau). If you want a longer hike, you can continue on over Ramnfjellet and Dunafjellet, on a path called Eventyrstien (the Fairytale Path).

There should be toilet facilities at the parking area.

Round trip to the Olav Duun Plateau is about 2.3 km and 200 meters of elevation gain

Eventyrstien is about 5.4 km and 340 meters of elevation gain (note: not a loop trip)
