Lyngentrappa is a sherpa staircase near Lyngseidet. The staircase is continuous for the first 200 meters of elevation gain, after which it turns into a path combined with steps where needed, up to "Verdens ende". Based on aerial photos, all the staircase sections together are said to total about 660 meters and 260 meters of elevation gain.
The steps were built by sherpas from Nepal, and mountain climber Kristin Harila served as godmother when it was officially opened on August 19, 2023.
