Saksa is a mountain in the Sunnmøre Alps in Ørsta municipality. The view from the top is spectacular, and it's not without reason that this is a very popular hike. The hike starts at Urke and follows a clearly marked trail up to Leknesdalen and further up toward the false summit of Saksa. From here you can descend into the col and climb up to the main summit, but this requires some easy scrambling and can feel exposed.

A sherpa staircase has been built in the uppermost section, below the false summit. Some sources mention 418 steps. It's uncertain exactly where the staircase begins. Tips are appreciated.

The hike is about 8.1 km and 1,030 meters of elevation gain.
