Skageflå is an abandoned mountain farm standing on the steep slopes along the Geirangerfjord. The farm sits about 250 meters above the fjord and is today a popular hiking destination. You can either hike there and back from Homlung/Geiranger, but perhaps the nicest way is to be taken out along the Geirangerfjord by boat.
The trail up from the fjord is steep, narrow, and exposed, but is secured with fences, and includes sections with both laid and hewn stone steps. Uncertain how many steps there are and how continuous the staircase is. Tips are appreciated.
From Skegeflå to Geiranger, the hike is about 7.4 km and 560 meters of elevation gain.
