Staircase facts
Skogshornstigen is a stone staircase at Skogshorn in Hemsedal municipality in Buskerud. The staircase was built from 2015 to 2019 to make the mountain more accessible and reduce wear on the terrain. The total cost of the project was about 2.5 million.
The exact locations of where stone has been laid, how long all the staircase sections are, and the number of steps are somewhat uncertain. The staircase drawn on the map is based on aerial photos. Can you help us?
The round trip up to Skogshorn is about 9.4 km and 835 meters of elevation gain.
