Staircase facts
Tarvaldsegga is located in Selje municipality in Vestland. The trail from Kopevatnet has been improved with stone slabs in wet sections and stone staircases through the scree and steeper sections. In total, about 345 metres of the trail is paved with stone. The work was begun by Nepalese sherpas in 2024 and completed in 2025. It's unclear how many steps the staircase has.
Round trip about 4 km with 420 metres of elevation gain.
