Trivselsskogen is a developed forest area featuring, among other things, a dog park, a natural bouldering wall, a fitness park, sherpa staircases, a viewing platform and a day-trip cabin (Draumekvila), right above Sandane.

Staircases have been built in two places in Trivselsskogen: up to "Utsikten" and by Holvikfossen. The staircase up to "Utsikten" is built of stone and metal and takes you up about 135 metres in elevation. This staircase has 374 steps (it's unclear whether this includes the metal staircase). The staircase at Holvikfossen is 641 steps long. The staircases were built in 2017 and 2018.

The round trip is about 4.3 km with 430 metres of elevation gain.
