Yksendalstrappene / Nesheimsnipa

The trail up from Yksendal is an old summer-farm path to Yksendalsstølen, Vaksdal municipality, Vestland. The trail was restored and staircases were built in the steepest sections in 2025. Further up from the summer farm to Nesheimnipa, 1,035 metres above sea level, there are said to be three sections of staircase. In total, 1,000+ steps have been built.

The staircases aren't visible on aerial photos at the time of writing, so they haven't been drawn accurately on the map. It's also uncertain how long the staircase sections are. I'd appreciate any tips.

Round trip to Nesheimnipa about 10.5 km with 650 metres of elevation gain.
